Component description for EIS [EZS] control unit - GF80.57-P-6003GQH
MODEL 164.195
Location
The EIS [EZS] control unit is located on the right, next to the steering column.
Task
The EIS [EZS] control unit has the following tasks:
- Control of functions
- Reading in of signals
- Evaluation of input factors
- Actuation of components
- Power supply for transmitter key (A8/1)
Control of functions
The EIS [EZS] control unit is the master control unit for the following functions:
- Central locking
- Convenience feature
- Drive authorization stage 3 (DAS 3)
- "Key-P" function
- Encrypted data exchange according to hash method for key identification
- Rotation-angle dependent activation of individual circuits (circuit 15, circuit 15R, circuit 50, circuit 15X and circuit 15C)
Reading in of signals
The input factors are read in with the following connections:
- Direct line
- Interior CAN (CAN B)
- Engine compartment CAN (CAN C)
Direct line
The following signals are read in via a direct line:
- Terminal 30
- Circuit 31
- Circuit 30b (emergency battery supply)
- Circuit 31 emergency supply
- Left front door rotary tumbler microswitch (M14/6s1) status
Interior CAN
The signals are read in by the EIS [EZS] control unit via the interior CAN.
The functions resulting therefrom are described in the corresponding function descriptions (see block diagram or function schematic).
Engine compartment CAN
The signals are read in by the EIS [EZS] control unit via the engine compartment CAN.
The functions resulting therefrom are described in the corresponding function descriptions (see block diagram or function schematic).
Evaluation of input factors
The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the affected components are then actuated.
Actuation of components
Components are actuated with the following lines:
- Direct line
- Interior CAN
- Engine compartment CAN
Direct line
The following components are actuated via a direct line:
- Emergency path to intelligent servo module for DIRECT SELECT (A80)
Interior CAN
The signals are transmitted by the EIS [EZS] control unit via the interior CAN.
Power supply for transmitter key
When the transmitter key is inserted into the EIS [EZS] control unit, it switches on the inductive power transmission for power supply to the transmitter key.
