Mount run-flat tire ring - AR40.10-P-1030-03A

  1. Clean rim flange.
  2. Coat contact surfaces of the outer shells (6) to rotor (7) with Rodgard special grease.

  3. Insert spacers (4) between tire and disk wheel.
  4. Install rotor (7).

    IMPORTANT Note installation position.

  5. Align rotor (7) with valve.

    NOTES The valve must remain free otherwise the valve can be damaged.

  6. Install outer shells (6).

    IMPORTANT Slide outer shells (6) inside one another and insert into guide of rotor (7). Align joints of outer shells (6) offset by 90° in relation to joint of rotor (7).

  7. Remove spacers (4) between tire and disk wheel.
  8. Pry tire side wall off disk wheel.

    IMPORTANT Pry off tire side wall using spreader (1) only until connecting point of outer shells (6) is accessible.

  9. Screw in bolt (5).
  10. Pry tire side wall off disk wheel at opposite connecting point of outer shells (6).

    IMPORTANT Pry off tire side wall using spreader (1) only until connecting point of outer shells (6) is accessible.

  11. Screw in second bolt (5a).

  12. Tighten clamping nut (3) using a suitable tool.

    IMPORTANT Tighten clamping nut (3) until a gap of approx. 6 mm remains at connecting point of outer shells (6).

  13. Pry off tire side wall at opposite connecting point of outer shells (6).

    IMPORTANT Pry off tire side wall using spreader (1) only until connecting point of outer shells (6) is accessible.

  14. Tighten clamping nut (3) using a suitable tool.

    IMPORTANT Tighten clamping nut (3) until a gap of approx. 6 mm remains at connecting point of outer shells (6).

  15. Fully tighten clamping nuts (3) alternately at both connecting points of outer shells (6).

    IMPORTANT The spreader (1) must be changed several times here. Tighten clamping nuts (3) alternately until connection is tight and thread for anti-twist lock (2) is accessible.

  16. Fully tighten anti-twist lock (2) at both connecting points of outer shells (6) using pliers and press towards outer side until it touches. Pry off tire side wall alternately on both sides using spreader (1) for this step.
  17. Remove spreader (1).
