Notes on installing the cap on the brake stator - AH42.20-P-0530-01T

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2009 Mercedes-Benz E550 and 2008 Mercedes-Benz E550. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Push cap (110) onto brake stator (7d) using a suitable tool.

IMPORTANT The depressions in the cap must latch in the grooves of the brake stator.

NOTES The force to install the cap (110) must only be applied to the front side of the mounting tabs (arrows).

Do not apply force to the bracket (110a) since this will deform the cap (110) and cause the cap to move around during operation. This leads to the development of noise and causes the brake system to overheat.
