	Check
	Risk of death  caused by high voltage at xenon headlamps. Risk of explosion/risk of fire  caused by highly flammable materials in the vicinity of damaged xenon bulbs. Risk of injury  caused by UV light, hot components at xenon headlamps and glass splinters produced by bursting xenon bulbs. Risk of poisoning  caused by inhalation of mercury vapors and by toxic salts and mercury compounds being ingested or coming into contact with skin	Do not come into contact with parts that are under high voltage. Persons with active electronic implants  (e.g. heart pacemakers) must never work on xenon headlamps. Switch off entire lighting system. Wear insulated safety shoes, safety glasses and protective gloves. Remove highly inflammable materials from the hazard area. Ensure sufficient ventilation in the working area.	AS82.10-Z-0001-01A
	Risk of accident  caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury  caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running	Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself. 1	Check tire pressure, correct if necessary	Tire inflation analyzer - mobile - with / without reservoir
2	Park the vehicle on a horizontal, level surface	Vehicle must be in curb condition (curb weight, fuel tank full or corresponding additional weight).
3	Shift transmission to position "N" and open side window
4	Get out with the engine running and close driver door
5	Raise the vehicle level when the engine is running and lower to the normal level	To do this, press the level adjustment switch (S6/2s10) in the Cockpit switch group (S6/2) repeatedly. The indicator lamp in the level adjustment switch (S6/2s10) must go out. Do not get into the vehicle during test and adjustment work, but hold through the open side window if necessary.
6	Prepare headlamp aimer (01)	Align headlamp aimer (01) approx. 10 to max. 30 cm in front of the headlamps parallel to the vehicle at the height of the light source. Adjust the specified headlamp inclination on the scale of the headlamp aimer (01): ↓

7	Switch on low beam at rotary light switch (S1)	Vehicles with code (610) Night View Assist: Do not  activate Night View Assist!
8.1	Check that headlamp range adjustment is functioning correctly by changing position of headlamp range adjustment switch on rotary light switch (S1)	Vehicles with halogen headlamps The light beams of the headlamps must adjust evenly.
8.2	Check function of headlamp range adjustment through placement of additional weights in the luggage compartment	Vehicles with xenon headlamps The height of the light-dark boundary shall not change when loading or unloading the weights.
9.1	Set headlamp range adjustment switch on rotary light switch (S1) to 0	Vehicles with halogen headlamps
9.2	Remove additional weights from the luggage compartment	Vehicles with xenon headlamps
10	Check low beam setting and correct if necessary	Vehicles with bi-xenon headlamps: Correct the adjustment subject to separate repair order.	AP82.10-P-8260-01SX
	Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory		AD00.00-P-2000-04A
11	Check setting of high beam		AP82.10-P-8260-02SX
12	Check setting of front fog lamps and correct if necessary		AP82.10-P-8260-04SX
13	Switch off light and turn off engine
