Interior illumination (IBL) in general 

The IBL system includes all lights in the vehicle interior. The individual light functions are activated or deactivated depending on the user's requirements, the on-board electrical system and the ambient brightness.

The master control unit for the IBL is the overhead control panel control unit (N70).

The IBL system consists of the following subfunctions :

• Manual interior lights control, function 
• Automatic interior lights control, function 
• Symbol and ambiance illumination, function
