Function sequence for headlamp cleaning system
Following the fifth wash request by the combination switch (S4) the front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1) actuates the headlamp cleaning system pump (M5/2).
The HCS [SRA] pump is activated again after five washing requests from the combination switch.
The number of washing requests is determined by a counter in the front SAM control unit.
An automatic counter reset occurs when the five wash requests have been reached or manually by switching circuit 15 off.
The rotary light switch (S1), which is read in via the instrument panel LIN by the upper control panel control unit (N72/1), enables the front SAM control unit to recognize the switched on low beam/standing lights.
The combination switch request is read in by the steering column tube module (N80), routed to the interior CAN via the central gateway control unit (N93) and read in by the front SAM control unit.
