Completely replace inner C-pillar side wall - AR63.10-P-0700SC

REMOVING Removing     
DANGER Risk of death  caused by high voltage used for electric welding. Risk of explosion  caused by welding in the area of highly inflammable materials. Risk of injury  caused by welding splatter and UV light while welding. Risk of poisoning  caused by inhaling welding fumes. Use insulating mats. Wear protective clothing, safety glasses and protective mask. Remove highly inflammable materials from the hazard area. Use air extractor system. AS00.00-Z-0007-01A
DANGER Risk of poisoning  caused by inhaling vapors or swallowing adhesive. Risk of injury  caused by adhesive coming into contact with skin and eyes Wear respiratory protection, protective gloves and safety glasses. Pour adhesive into suitable and appropriately marked containers only. AS00.00-Z-0016-01A
DANGER Risk of injury  caused by scraping or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle parts Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle parts.

1 Remove detachable parts in repair area and cover all remaining detachable parts remaining in the vehicle using a tarp (fire-resistant) Tarp (fire-proof),  
2 Remove rear fender   AR63.50-P-1400SC 
3 Set up straightening bench with straightening bracket set and attach vehicle IMPORTANT Observe setup plans.

4 Remove inner C-pillar (1), outer C-pillar (2), outer rear wheel well (3), side wall reinforcement (4) and strut (5) and prepare mating surfaces on body for installation IMPORTANT For body repair use familiar tools approved by DaimlerChrysler.
For BTR Usibor milling cutter.

5 Prepare inner C-pillar (1), outer C-pillar (2), outer rear wheel well (3), side wall reinforcement (4) and strut (5) for installation IMPORTANT For body repair use familiar tools approved by DaimlerChrysler. AR63.10-P-0700-02SC 
INSTALLING Install     
6 Check B-pillar IMPORTANT Check B-pillar for damage, align if necessary.  
7 Straighten B-pillar IMPORTANT If the B-pillar is no longer visible due to the depth of the deformation, contact the responsible national center to clarify further procedure.  
8 Install side portal frame IMPORTANT Observe setup plans.

For set-up plans.

9 Install inner C-pillar (1), outer C-pillar (2), outer rear wheel well (3), side wall reinforcement (4) and strut (5), fit and weld in IMPORTANT For body repair use familiar tools approved by DaimlerChrysler.
When replacing right C-pillar, observe gap dimension for fuel filler flap.

10 Remove side portal frame with inspection and welding device SPECIAL TOOL Side portal frame *210589172300

11 Install rear fender   AR63.50-P-1400SC 
12 Loosen vehicle and remove from straightening bench    
13 Clean repair areas and prime using primer filler    
14 Carry out seam sealing after repairs IMPORTANT Supplement standard sealants with MB body sealant. AR97.10-P-4000SX
15 Paint repair areas and adjacent surfaces   AR98.00-P-0150SX
16 Apply additional cavity preservation   AR97.20-P-1500SC
17 Remove tarp (fire-resistant) and install all detachable parts in the area of repair point
