Polish damaged areas - AR98.00-P-0009SX

MODEL 216, 221 with more scratch-resistant clearcoat system

1 Wash the vehicle
2 Grind damaged areas using fine- grained abrasive paper IMPORTANT The grain size must be at least P2500. A grain size of between P3000 and P5000 is better.
3 Place polishing sponge exactly in the center on the backup pad IMPORTANT Before commencing the first polishing operation, slightly fog the polishing sponge using deionized (DI) water.
4 Apply a small amount of paintwork polish to the paint or area to be polished and polish the area to be treated at the slowest speed, approximately 800 rpm (1st stage), for 10 s using moderate pressure in cross-coat action. NOTES Move the polishing machine uniformly for all polishing processes, as otherwise irregularities will occur in the paint reflection.
IMPORTANT Shake paintwork polish well before use. Make sure in all polishing processes that on larger areas you always finish-polish one partial area (approx. 1/4 m2 ) at a time. As the paintwork polish pulverizes during polishing, a more marked abrasive effect is visible initially. The high gloss is only produced at the end. Do not exceed a polishing time of 30 s at any one sanding spot.
