Remove/install voice control system control unit - AR82.70-P-0003SC

MODEL 216.3 up to 31.5.09 except CODE (800) Model year 2010 with CODE (390) Linguatronic - British English with CODE (391) Linguatronic - French with CODE (392) Linguatronic - Swiss German with CODE (393) Linguatronic - Italian with CODE (394) Linguatronic - Spanish with CODE (395) Linguatronic - Dutch with CODE (396) Linguatronic - English (US) with CODE (813) Voice control system (VCS [SBS])

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1.1 Temporarily store basic data of voice control system (VCS [SBS]) control unit (N41/3) in STAR DIAGNOSIS When replacing the voice control system (VCS [SBS]) control unit (N41/3).
IMPORTANTInstallation  : Copy temporarily stored basic data to the new voice control system (VCS [SBS]) control unit (N41/3).
 
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory   AD00.00-P-2000-04A
2 Switch off ignition and withdraw transmitter key or Keyless Go start/stop button from the EIS [EZS] control unit IMPORTANT Keyless Go start/stop button only for vehicles with code (889) Keyless Go.  
3 Remove spare tire well paneling, loosen side paneling in trunk and pivot to side until the voice control system control unit (VCS) (N41/3) is accessible   AR68.30-P-4600SX
4 Detach nuts (2) and screw/bolt (3), remove bracket (1) and place to one side    
5 Disconnect electrical connector (5), unscrew bolts (4) and remove voice control system control unit (VCS) (N41/3) from mount (1)

6 Install in the reverse order
