Check condition of additional battery - AR54.10-P-1128SX

MODEL 216, 221 with CODE (B03) ECO start/stop function

REMOVING Removing     
DANGER Risk of explosion  caused by oxyhydrogen gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns  caused by swallowing battery acid. Risk of injury  caused by burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking.
Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and glasses. Only pour battery acid into suitable and appropriately marked containers.

1 Remove center paneling (1) in trunk   AR68.30-P-4600SX
INSPECT Checking     
2 Visually inspect additional battery for ECO start/stop function (G1/13) for signs of external leaks IMPORTANT If leaks found, replace additional battery for ECO start/stop function (G1/13).

3 Charge additional battery for ECO start/stop function (G1/13)   AR54.10-P-1129-01A

4 Reduce increased voltage after charging process For an additional battery for ECO start/stop function (G1/13), that has been detached from the on-board electrical system, and if the "Surface voltage" message is shown on the Midtronics battery test / test equipment display.
Battery tester
IMPORTANT If the voltage increases after removal, check the additional battery for the ECO start/ stop function (G1/13) again.

5 Charge additional battery for ECO start/stop function (G1/13) With the test code "Charge and check" on the Midtronics battery tester.
IMPORTANT After charging, check additional battery for the ECO start/stop function (G1/13) again.

INSTALLING Install     
6 Install center paneling (1) into trunk   AR68.30-P-4600SX
TEST AND ADJUSTMENT VALUES FOR BATTERY
