Remove/install stabilizer bar on front axle - AR32.20-P-0300CW
When working on the front-end assembly, be careful not to scratch, mark or notch the surfaces of aluminum parts. Otherwise the service life of the of the parts will be reduced.
Installation: Tighten nuts and bolts of chassis components only when vehicle is in the ready-to-drive condition.
Remove engine compartment paneling. Model 204 except model 204.9, 207 with gasoline engine: See AR61.20-P-1105EW .
Unscrew nuts (3) and press link rods (4) out of torsion bar (10).
Check rubber boots of link rods (4) for damage and replace link rods (4) if necessary. When unscrewing the nuts (3) counterhold at the spherical bolts with interior Torx. See BA32.20-P-1001-02P .
Detach bracket (2) from torsion bar (10). (Vehicles with bi-xenon headlamps, except vehicles with 4MATIC.)
Secure rack-and-pinion steering to prevent it from falling down (Model 204 with engine 156).
Detach mounting plate on front axle carrier (6) (Model 204 with engine 156). See BA33.10-P-1003-01M .
Remove bolts (5) on the front axle carrier (6) and remove torsion bar (10). Check rubber mount (7) and bearing shells (8) for damage and wear and replace torsion bar (10) if necessary. The rubber mount (7) and bearing shells 8) are vulcanized to the torsion bar (10). See BA32.20-P-1003-02P .
