Remove, install resonance intake manifold - AR09.20-P-1961CMG

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install    
DANGER Risk of explosion  caused by fuel igniting, risk of poisoning  caused by inhaling and swallowing fuel and risk of injury  to eyes and skin caused by contact with fuel No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking.
Only pour fuels into suitable and appropriately marked containers.
Wear protective clothing when handling fuel.

DANGER Risk of injury  caused by fingers being pinched or crushed  when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lids, tailgates or sliding roof. Keep body parts and limbs well clear of moving parts. AS00.00-Z-0011-01A

1 Switch off ignition
2 Remove engine intake air duct and front engine cover Do not tilt front engine cover, but lift upwards vertically otherwise the retaining lugs can break off  
3 Remove air filter housing   AR09.10-P-1150CMG 
4 Release fuel pressure with pressure hose via service valve SPECIAL TOOL

5 Detach fuel line from fuel distributor (4) IMPORTANTInstallation:  Install new sealing rings.
TORQUE SPECIFICATION
*BA07.03-P-1001-01C 
6 Disconnect electrical connectors (2) at front intake manifold (1)    
7 Detach vacuum line (3)    
8 Detach vacuum line from brake booster at connection (11)    
9 Remove foam plastic cover from fuel distributor (4)    
10 Disconnect connectors for injection valves IMPORTANT Place wiring hardness to side.  
11 Remove bolt (6) and purge line (5) from intake manifold (1) TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA07.03-P-1002-01C 
12 Detach vacuum hose (9) from intake manifold (1) or from vacuum unit (13) IMPORTANT Detach hose to vacuum reservoir.  
13 Remove vacuum line (10)    
14 Disconnect electrical connector (12)    
15 Remove bolts (8) from intake manifold (1) and take off intake manifold (1) in the upward direction IMPORTANT Close off intake ports in doing so Injection valves is not damaged.
IMPORTANTInstallation:  Clean sealing surfaces; replace gasket and bolts.
TORQUE SPECIFICATIONInstallation:  Observe tightening pattern for fastening the intake manifold

16 Install in the reverse order

Risk of accident  caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury  caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running
Carry out engine test run and check intake manifold (1) for leaks
Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

1 - Tighten bolts on the intake manifold in numerical sequence
