Remove/install instrument cluster - AR54.30-P-6015CW

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
NOTES Information on preventing damage to electronic components due to electrostatic discharge   AH54.00-P-0001-01A
1 Temporarily store basic data of instrument cluster (A1) in STAR DIAGNOSIS IMPORTANT When replacing the instrument cluster (A1).
IMPORTANTInstallation:  Transfer the cached basic data to the new instrument cluster (A1).
 
  Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory   AD00.00-P-2000-04A
2 Position steering wheel rearwards and at the bottom    
3 Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key (A8/1) or KEYLESS-GO start/stop button (S2/3) from electronic ignition lock control unit (N73) KEYLESS-GO start/stop button only on vehicles with code (889) Keyless Go.  
4 Remove center air vent In vehicles as of 1.3.2011 AR83.10-P-4503CWA
5.1 Unlatch covering of instrument cluster (1) at the top first (arrows), then unlatch in the bottom area of the catch hooks (3, 4) towards the back and take off In vehicles up to 28.2.2011
IMPORTANTInstallation:  Pay attention to the correct seat of the shackles (2).

5.2 Remove covers for instrument cluster In vehicles as of 1.3.2011
IMPORTANT Remove cover for instrument cluster at bottom first (9) then cover for instrument cluster at the top (10) then the center cover for the instrument cluster (11).

6 Pull reset knob (6) out of the instrument cluster (A1) In vehicles up to 28.2.2011  
7 Unscrew bolts (5) until the instrument cluster (A1) is loose IMPORTANT The bolts (5) remain on the instrument cluster (A1).  
8 Swing the instrument cluster (A1) at the top out of the dashboard (8) and remove rearwards until the electrical connector (7) is accessible    
9 Unplug electrical connector (7) and remove instrument cluster (A1)    
10 Install in the reverse order
