Location

The electronic overhead control panel is located in the front section of the headliner.

Task

The controls on the electronic overhead control panel are used for manual interior lights control.

The electronic overhead control panel is supplied with voltage by the front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1).

The electronic overhead control panel is a subscriber of the wiper/inside rearview mirror LIN (LIN 2).

The signals from the following components are provided via the wiper/inside rearview mirror LIN:

On vehicles with code (249) Automatic dimming inside and outside rearview mirrors including folding outside mirror without code (494) USA version or code (249) Automatic dimming inside rearview mirror and outside mirror (driver) and code (494) USA version:
- Forward automatic mirror dimming light sensor (A67h1)
- Rearward automatic mirror dimming light sensor (A67h2)
- Mirror dimming (A67h3)
Light sensor (B38/1) (without code (345) Rain sensor)
Rain/light sensor (B38/2) (with code (345) Rain sensor)

The following components are supplied with voltage by the overhead control panel electronics:

Light sensor
Rain/light sensor
Left sun visor mirror lamp (E14/1) via the left front mirror lamp switch (S101)
Right sun visor mirror lamp (E14/2) via the right front mirror lamp switch (S102)
Rear dome lamp (E15/3)

The following components are located on the overhead control panel electronics:

Interior temperature sensor
Left front interior lamp
Right front interior lamp
Panoramic sliding roof control switch (with code (413) Panoramic glass sunroof with top sliding sunroof)
Rear dome lamp switch
Interior lamp automatic function switch

Towing sensor button
Emergency call system control and display elements (with code (359) TELE AID emergency call system)
