Location

The light sensor is located on the inside of the windshield near the inside rearview mirror.

Task

It records the light intensity impacting on the windshield. Various functions of the interior illumination and exterior lights are controlled automatically via the light intensity.

The information is forwarded over the

overhead control panel control unit (N70) (with code (414) Power glass tilting/sliding sunroof) or over the
overhead control panel electronics (N70/3) (without code (414) Power glass tilting/sliding sunroof)

wiper/inside rearview mirror LIN to the front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1).
