Check propeller shaft halves (20a, 20b), thrust plate (1), rubber boot (2) and propeller shaft center support bearing (7) for wear and damage and replace if necessary.
Coat splined profile of rear half of propeller shaft (20b) with long-life grease.

Connect propeller shaft halves (20a, 20b).
The humps of the front half of propeller shaft (20a) must be located between the two humps on the rear half of propeller shaft (20b) (arrows). Ensure the rubber seal is properly installed.
