Remove/install brake booster vacuum line - AR43.10-P-0355CW

If necessary the vacuum line (2) can be separated at the separation point (9). Both sections of the vacuum line (2) can be removed separately.

Operate the brake pedal several times when the engine is switched off. In order to reduce vacuum in brake booster (A7/7).

Open engine hood and raise to vertical position.

Pull vacuum line (2) with check valve (1) out of rubber seal (3) of brake booster (A7/7). Installation: Replace rubber seal (3).

Loosen rubber piping (4) from firewall and place to one side.

Unclip release lug (5) and remove cover (6) upwards.

Remove vacuum line (2) from bracket.

Remove engine trim panel.

Engine 271, 642: Pull off the engine cover upward. Installation: engine 642: Ignition switched off.

On engine 156, remove air filter housing.

Pull off vacuum line (2) at connection fitting (8) and remove. To do this, press the locks (arrows).

Install in the reverse order.

Carry out brake test on brake dynamometer. See AP42.00-P-4290BA .
