Remove/install sealing for crank window on rear door - AR72.12-P-1911CW

REMOVING Removing     
DANGER Risk of injury  caused by fingers being pinched or crushed  when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lids, liftgates or sliding roof Keep body parts and limbs well clear of moving parts. AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
1 Wind crank window fully down    
2 Unclip expansion clip (3) Model 204
NOTES On model 204.9 the expansion clip (3) is integrated into the window guide seal (1) and must be removed carefully, otherwise the window guide seal (1) can be damaged.
SPECIAL TOOL

3 Loosen section (1.1) of window guide seal (1) from cover (4)    
4 Pull section (1.2) of window guide seal (1) out of window frame in area of cover (4) until bolts (5) are accessible    
5 Remove bolts (5) and take off cover (4) upward from window frame    
6 Pull section (1.3) of window guide seal (1) upward out of rear door (6)    
7 Lift window guide seal (1) out of groove in window frame in the flocked upper area with assembly wedge (7) as shown SPECIAL TOOL Fig 2
8 Lift upper area (A) of window guide seal (1) out of window frame with assembly wedge (7) and remove window guide seal (1) NOTES Lift carefully; window guide seal (1) can bend easily in upper area (A) and must be then be replaced

INSTALLING Install     
9 Apply antifriction agent to upper area (A) of window guide seal (1) Antifriction agent *BR00.45-Z-1010-06A 
10 Loosely position window guide seal (1) on window frame, align at both upper corners (arrows) and clip upper area (A) into widow frame NOTES Clip in carefully; window guide seal (1) can bend easily in upper area (A) and must be then be replaced  
11 Apply coat of soap solution to area of section (1.3) located below waistline after installation NOTES Ensure that soap solution does not penetrate into the window guide Danger of soiling the window guide in the window guide seal (1)
IMPORTANT Soap solution has the required lubrication characteristics for the installation
 
12 Apply antifriction agent to area of section (1.3) located below waistline after installation Antifriction agent *BR00.45-Z-1010-06A 
13 Slide section (1.3) downward along rear edge of crank window and install in window separator bar (8)    
14 Apply antifriction agent to rear of cover (4) and slide cover (4) onto window frame from top Antifriction agent *BR00.45-Z-1010-06A 
15 Tighten bolts (5)    
16 Apply coat of soap solution to area of section (1.2) located below waistline after installation NOTES Ensure that soap solution does not penetrate into the window guide Danger of soiling the window guide in the window guide seal (1)  
17 Apply antifriction agent to area of section (1.2) located below waistline after installation Antifriction agent *BR00.45-Z-1010-06A 
18 Slide section (1.2) downward along front edge of crank window and install in cover (4)    
19 Apply antifriction agent to section (1.1) and install in cover (4) Antifriction agent *BR00.45-Z-1010-06A 
20 Check whether window guide seal (1) is seated correctly in window frame, in cover (4) and on window separator bar (8); if applicable correct seat of window guide seal (1) using assembly wedge (7) IMPORTANT On model 204, ensure that window guide seal (1) is seated correctly in lug (9) on window frame paneling (2), as shown.

21 Completely close crank window; ensure that crank window runs correctly into window guides of window guide seal (1)
