Remove/install sealing for crank window on front door - AR72.10-P-1905CW

REMOVING Removing     
DANGER Risk of injury  caused by fingers being pinched or crushed  when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lids, tailgates or sliding roof. Keep body parts and limbs well clear of moving parts. AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
1 Completely open crank window (5)    
2 Remove end cap (2).    
3 Pull rear area (B) of window guide seal (1) in area of covering (3) out of window frame until bolts (4) are accessible.    
4 Unscrew bolts (4) and remove covering (3) upward from window frame    
5 Unclip upper area (C) on window guide seal (1) from window frame starting at outer side with assembly wedge (8). NOTES Unclip carefully, window guide seal (1) can bend slightly in the upper area and must then be replaced.

6 Pull front area (A) on window guide seal (1) upward out of front door (6) and remove window guide seal (1).    
INSTALLING Install     
7 Open crank window (5) as far as shown (arrow D)    
8 Coat front area (A) located below waistline after installation with soap solution. NOTES Ensure that soap solution does not penetrate into the window guides. Danger of soiling window guides in window guide seal (1)
IMPORTANT Soap solution has the required lubrication characteristics for the installation		  
9 Slide front area (A) along front edge of crank window (6) along downward.    
10 Loosely position upper area (C) on window frame.    
11 Coat rear area (A) located below waistline after installation with soap solution. NOTES Ensure that soap solution does not penetrate into the window guides. Danger of soiling window guides in window guide seal (1)  
12 Position window guide seal (1) in rear upper corner of window frame. IMPORTANT Ensure that the lug (7) is seated correctly on the window frame paneling as shown.  
13 Apply lubricant to rear of covering (3) and slide cover (3) from top onto window frame. Antifriction agent BR00.45-Z-1010-06A
14 Tighten bolts (4)    
15 Slide rear area (A) along rear edge of crank window (6) along downward.    
16 Insert remaining section of rear area (B) into covering (3) with aid of lubricant. IMPORTANT Ensure that the window guide seal (1) makes contact with the covering (3) over the entire length without gap Antifriction agent BR00.45-Z-1010-06A
17 Apply lubricant in upper area (C), align window guide seal (1) and unclip upper area (C) from window frame starting inside. NOTES Unclip carefully, window guide seal (1) can bend slightly in the upper area and must then be replaced.
Antifriction agent
IMPORTANT When aligning ensure that the window guide seal (1) is flush with the covering (3) at the upper rear corner (arrows E).		 BR00.45-Z-1010-06A
18 Insert remaining section of front area (A) into window frame with aid of lubricant. Antifriction agent BR00.45-Z-1010-06A 
19 Check whether window guide seal (1) is seated correctly in window frame, if necessary correct with assembly wedge (8). SPECIAL TOOL Fig 2
20 Position window guide seal (1) below door sealing frame (arrows F)    
21 Install end cap (2).    
22 Completely close crank window (5), ensure that the crank window (5) runs correctly in the window guides of the window guide seal (1).
