Retrofit daytime running lights headlamp - AZ82.10-P-0020-01CW

IMPORTANT The following installation of the daytime running lights headlamps is described for a vehicle with charge air cooler. On vehicles without charge air cooler the daytime running lights headlamps are installed in the same manner, but the front bumper is not to be removed.

  1. Detach plastic trim (20) of cooler from brackets (arrows A) and lower by approx. 60 mm in the direction of the arrow (arrow B).

    IMPORTANT For vehicles without charge air cooler.

    Right side of vehicle 

  2. Transfer position of borehole (arrow C) from picture A onto vent grille (21) of bumper (22).

    IMPORTANT The marking is to be accurately centered between the struts (21.1) of the vent grille (21).

    Left side of vehicle 

  3. Transfer position of boreholes (arrows D and E) from picture B onto vent grille (21) of bumper (22).

    IMPORTANT The markings are to be made exactly in the center between the individual vent grille (21) struts (21.1).

  4. Align right daytime running lights headlamp (1.1) and left daytime running lights headlamp (1.2) over the markings as made and check installation position.

    IMPORTANT The right daytime running lights headlamp (1.1) and the left daytime running lights headlamp (1.2) must make flush contact on the outside (arrows F) on the bumper.

    The threaded pins (23, 24) must be located above the previously made markings.

    The outer marking on the left side of the vehicle is for the wiring harness (25) passage.

  5. Make holes corresponding to the previously made marking (arrows C to E) with a diameter of 10 mm on the vent grille (21) of the bumper (22).

  6. Align right daytime running lights headlamp (1.1) and left daytime running lights headlamp (1.2) horizontally over the holes made on the vent grille (21).

  7. Route wiring harness (25) for left daytime running lights headlamp through the outer hole on the vent grille and mount left daytime running lights headlamp.
  8. Route wiring harness (25) for right daytime running lights headlamp through the vent grille and mount right daytime running lights headlamp.
  9. Bolt on right daytime running lights headlamp and left daytime running lights headlamp using nuts (26) and washers from parts kit.
  10. Route wiring harness (25) for right daytime running lights headlamp, as shown, between the rubber seal of the plastic trim (20) on the cooler and the vent grille (21).

  11. Fit blue line (bl) of wiring harness (25) in each case into slot "1" of both black 2-pin contact carriers (27) included in the parts kit.
  12. Fit black line (sw) of wiring harness (25) in each case into slot "2" of the black 2-pin contact carrier (27) included in the parts kit.
  13. Fit sealings (27.1) onto both black 2-pin contact carriers (27).
  14. Fit locks (27.2) onto both black 2-pin contact carriers (27).

  15. Slide plastic trim (20) upwards in direction of arrow (arrow B) and clip into the brackets (arrows A).

    IMPORTANT For vehicles without charge air cooler.
