	Disassemble
	Lay door lining removed front side down on suitable base to prevent damage
1	Disconnect electrical connector (3), unscrew bolt (4) and remove driver-side power window and outside mirror adjustment switch group (S20) or passenger power window switch (S21/2) from door lining.
2	Disconnect electrical connector (5), unclip left front door central locking interior switch (S85/5) or right front door central locking interior switch (S85/6) from door lining.
3	Disconnect electrical connector (6), remove retaining clamp (7) and remove trunk lid release button (S15/1) from door lining.
4	Disconnect electrical connector (8)	When removing cover (9) on vehicles with code (275) Memory package (driver seat, steering column, mirrors) or code (242) Electrically adjustable passenger seat with memory
5	Carefully unscrew cutting nut (10) and remove covering (9).	Do not use cordless screwdriver, otherwise pin (11) for mounting covering (9) can be damaged.
6	Remove left front seat adjustment switch group (S22) or right front seat adjustment switch group (S23) from covering (9).	When replacing cover (9) on vehicles with code (275) Memory package (driver seat, steering column, mirrors) or code (242) Electrically adjustable passenger seat with memory
7	Carefully unscrew cutting nuts (14) and remove trim strip (15).	Do not use cordless screwdriver, otherwise pins (16) for mounting trim strip (15) can be damaged.
8	Unclip left front door exit and warning lamp (E17/3) or right front door exit and warning lamp (E17/4) from door lining (17) and disconnect electrical connector	In vehicles with Code (954) Avantgarde or Code (955) Elegance
9.1	Knock off plastic spot welds (18) with chisel and remove speaker cover (20) together with frame ring (21) from door lining.	When initially replacing speaker cover (20). Flat side of chisel blade should point upward. Chisel according to DIN 5139 with 10 mm blade width
9.2	Bend open clamping plate (22) with suitable screwdriver and remove speaker cover (20) together with frame ring (21) from door lining.	When repeatedly replacing speaker cover (20).
	Assemble
10	Insert speaker cover (20) together with frame ring (21) into door lining
11	Carefully press new clamping plates (22) onto pins (30).
12	Shorten pins (30) down to approx. 2 mm above clamping plates (22) with side cutting pliers.
13	Clip left front door exit and warning lamp (E17/3) or right front door exit and warning lamp (E17/4) into door lining and connect electrical connector (17)	In vehicles with Code (954) Avantgarde or Code (955) Elegance
14	Insert trim strip (15) into door lining and carefully tighten cutting nuts (14)	Do not use cordless screwdriver and do not tighten cutting nuts (14) too tightly. Otherwise pins (16) can be damaged. If a cutting nut (14) can no longer be tighten due to a damaged pin (16), a suitable new clamping plate (12) can be pressed on as an alternative. It is important that trim strip (15) is seated in door lining without play.
15	Install left front seat adjustment switch group (S22) or right front seat adjustment switch group (S23) in covering (9).	When replacing covering (9) on vehicles with code (275) Memory package (driver seat, steering column, mirrors) or code (242) Electrically adjustable front passenger seat with memory.
16	Insert cover (9) into door lining and carefully tighten cutting nut (10)	Do not use cordless screwdriver, otherwise pin (11) for mounting covering (9) can be damaged. If cutting nut (10) can no longer be tightened due to a damaged pin (11), a suitable new clamping plate (12) can be pressed on as an alternative. It is important that cover (9) is seated in door lining without play.
17	Connect electrical connector (8)	When installing covering (9) on vehicles with code (275) Memory package (driver seat, steering column, mirrors) or code (242) Electrically adjustable passenger seat with memory.
18	Insert trunk lid release button (S15/1) into door lining, install retaining clamp (7) and connect electrical connector (6)	When assembling driver door lining.
19	Clip left front door central locking interior switch (S85/5) or right front door central locking interior switch (S85/6) into door lining and connect electrical connector (5)
20	Insert driver-side power window and outside mirror adjustment switch group (S20) or front passenger power window switch (S21/2) into door lining, tighten bolt (4) and connect electrical connector (3)
