REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
1 Lift vehicle on lifting platform.    
2 Remove bracket (4) IMPORTANT Bracket (4) is removed with the left rear level sensor (B22/7).  
3 Disconnect electrical connector (1)    
4 Remove electrical wiring harness from bracket (3)    
5 Remove bracket (3) IMPORTANT On model 204.0/2 the bracket (3) is fastened using bolts (2).
In model 204.9, 207 and 218.3 the bracket (3) is secured with an expansion clip instead of the upper screw/bolt (2) and a continuous threaded connection with a nut is installed instead of the lower screw/bolt (2).
With model 212 the bracket (3) is secured with a journal instead of the upper bolt (2) and a continuous threaded connection with nut is installed instead of the lower bolt (2).
 
6 Remove the left rear level sensor (B22/7) IMPORTANT The left rear level sensor (B22/7) can only be removed together with the brackets (3, 4).  
7 Install in the reverse order    
8 Connect Star Diagnosis, read out fault memory and adjust zero position of headlamps   AD00.00-P-2000-04A
9 Check headlamp setting and correct if necessary Model 204 AP82.10-P-8260CW
Model 207, 212, 218 AP82.10-P-8260EW
