The wiper system may only be adjusted if the test values of wiper arms deviate from the tolerance range in parked position.
The following adjustment procedure is shown on model 204.0.
Install angle gauge (A) to driver-side wiper arm (1).
- Open hood.
On model 218, do not position the engine hood vertically.
- Remove cover (2) from insulation mat.
Model 204
The cover (2) is a discontinued part.
- Remove sealing frame in area of screw (3), remove cover above screw (3) and lift insulation mat far enough to allow access to the screw (3).
Model 212, 218
- Loosen screw (3) and
attach extraction hook (4) onto wiper system (5).
- Shift wiper system (5) using
extraction hook (4) until the correct adjustment value is shown on the scale on the
angle gauge (A).
- Tighten screw (3) and
remove extraction hook (4).
- Close hood and
remove angle gauge (A) from driver-side wiper arm (1).
