MODEL 204.0/2 with CODE (414) Power glass tilting/sliding roof up to Model Year 8
Illustrated on model 204.0
Location
The tilting/sliding roof drive unit is located below the roof paneling on the front roof frame.
Task
Drive for tilting/sliding roof (SR).
Design
The tilting/sliding roof drive unit includes the following components:
- Hall sensor 1, tilting/sliding roof (M12b1)
- Hall sensor 2, tilting/sliding roof (M12b2)
- Tilting/sliding roof motor (M12m1)
- Transfer case
- Temperature protection switch
Function
The direction of rotation of the tilting/sliding roof motor is determined by the polarity of the actuation voltage from the overhead control panel control unit (N70)
The Hall sensors deliver signals sensed by the overhead control panel control unit for position measurement and lock-up recognition. Moreover, the thermal protection switch protects against overload.
