Location 

The cradle is located in the telephone compartment in the center console under the armrest.

Task 

Various mobile phones (e.g. from Siemens) can be used by means of the different cradles. The particular mobile phone is directly connected to one of the following "master control units" and the multifunction antenna (A28/11) by the cradle via a Bluetooth contact plate:

An automatic switch-on or switch-off request is transmitted to the cradle via the direct connection to the "master control unit". At the same time, the voltage for charging the inserted mobile is supplied via this direct connection and the cradle.

All other communication (e.g. phone book) between the cradle and the "master control unit" takes place in the following way:

In vehicles with code (386) Mobile phone, the mobile phone signals or data are transmitted and received from the cradle to the multifunction antenna via the direct connection to the multifunction antenna.

In vehicles with code (389) Mobile phone preinstallation with universal interface, USA/Canada, the mobile phone signals or data are transmitted and received from the cradle to the multifunction antenna in the following way:
