Location

The rear lamp units are located on the left and right of the vehicle rear.

Design

A distinction is made between two variants of rear lamp units. The functionality of the two variants is identical, though.

On vehicles without code (614) Bi-xenon headlamp unit and without code (622) Intelligent Light System (right-hand traffic), the turn signal lights are designed as bulbs.

On vehicles with code (614) Bi-xenon headlamp unit or with code (622) Intelligent Light System (right-hand traffic), the turn signal lights are designed as yellow light-emitting diodes, which symbolize a C open towards the inside.

IMPORTANT The rear lamp units are actuated by the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).
