Location

The door locks are installed in the corresponding door.

Design

The following components are installed in the left front door lock:

Left front door rotary tumbler switch (A85s1)
Left front door central locking motor (A85m1)
Left front door opening assist motor (A85m2) (with code (889) Keyless Go)
Left front door additional door lock actuator motor (A85m4) (only )

The following components are installed in the right front door lock:

Right front door rotary tumbler switch (A85/1s1)
Right front door central locking motor (A85/1m1)
Right front door opening assist motor (A85/1m2) (with code (889) Keyless Go)
Right front door additional door lock actuator motor (A85/1m4) (only )

The following components are installed in the left rear door lock:

Left rear door rotary tumbler switch (A85/3s1)
Left rear door central locking motor (A85/3m1)
Left rear door opening assist motor (A85/3m2) (with code (889) Keyless Go)
Left rear door additional door lock actuator motor (A85/3m4) (only )

The following components are installed in the right rear door lock:

Right rear door rotary tumbler switch (A85/4s1)
Right rear door central locking motor (A85/4m1)
Right rear door opening assist motor (A85/4m2) (with code (889) Keyless Go)
Right rear door additional door lock actuator motor (A85/4m4) (only )

Task

The door status is recognized via the rotary tumbler switch.

The doors are locked/unlocked via the central locking motors when opening/closing the central locking (CL)

The corresponding door is opened mechanically with the motor opening assist.

Opening a door from the inside is prevented via the additional door lock actuator motors when the vehicle is locked.

Signals

N69/1 The left front door control unit reads in the

left front door rotary tumbler switch
and actuates the left front door central locking motor and left front additional door lock actuator motor

The right front door control unit (N69/2) reads in the

right front door rotary tumbler switch
and actuates the right front door central locking motor and the right front additional door lock actuator motor.

On vehicles without , the rear door central locking motors are actuated by the front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1).

However, the rear door rotary tumbler switch is read in by the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).

On vehicles, the left rear door central locking motor and left rear additional door lock actuator motor are actuated by the left rear door control unit (N69/3) and the right rear door central locking motor and right rear additional door lock actuator motor by the right rear door control unit (N69/4).

On vehicles with code (889) Keyless Go, the opening assist motor is actuated by the KEYLESS GO control unit (N69/5).
