  1. Turn the front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1) so that the couplings are easily accessible in the lower area.
  2. Connect pink/red line (rs/rt) of daytime running lights wiring harness with a potential distributor (10) to the pink/red line (rs/ rt) in slot 6 of the gray 13-pin coupling (9).

IMPORTANT Position potential distributor (10) approx. 150 mm behind the gray 13-pin coupling (9).

  3. Connect gray/red line (gr/rt) of daytime running lights wiring harness with a potential distributor (10) to the gray/red line (gr/rt) in slot 2 of the green 10-pin coupling (11).

IMPORTANT Position potential distributor (10) approx. 150 mm behind the green 10-pin coupling (11).

IMPORTANT Operation step 5 to  8 only for vehicles without red/green line (rt/gn) in slot 10 of the yellow 12-pin coupling (12).

  5. Disconnect yellow 12-pin coupling (12) from slot (arrow A) on front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1).
  6. Connect plug contact SLK (13) to red/green line (rt/gn) of wiring harness for daytime running lights.
  7. Install red/green line (rt/gn) of wiring harness for daytime running lights into slot 10 of the yellow 12-pin coupling (12).
  8. Connect yellow 12-pin coupling (12) into slot (arrow A) on front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1).
