Retrofit navigation box wiring harness - AN82.85-P-0020-06FH
Connection scheme
Routing diagram
- Cut off contact spring SLK 2.8 (3.4) from blue/red line (bl/rt).
- Extend blue/red line (bl/rt) using a commercially available blue/red line (bl/ rt) by 2800 mm (a).
The cross-section of the blue/red lines (bl/rt) is 0.5 mm.
- Attach contact spring SLK 2.8 (3.4) to blue/red line (bl/rt).
The contact spring SLK 2.8 (3.4) is available in the
wiring harness repair kit supplement for passenger cars.
- Connect blue 8-pin coupling (22.2) of extension (22) to blue 8-pin plug (3.2).
- Install contact spring (3.5) of brown line (br) into contact cavity "1" of black 12-pin coupling (3.3).
- Wrap felt tape (23) around the blue/red line (bl/rt), brown line (br), black line (sw) and black/white line (sw/ws) 800 mm (c) behind the black 12-pin coupling (3.3) for a length of 850 mm (b).
- Route navigation module wiring harness (3), as shown, from the front passenger footwell into the radio recess.
The black 12-pin coupling (3.3) must be in the front passenger footwell; it is connected later on to the navigation module bracket. The black, 12-pin coupling (22.1) is connected to the radio at a later stage.
- Fasten navigation module wiring harness (3), starting from black 12-pin coupling (3.3), to the low voltage differential signal wiring harness (2) and the navigation module Traffic Message Channel (TMC) antenna line (12a) using cable ties.
- Install black 12-pin coupling (22.1) of navigation module wiring harness (3) into free slot of black 44-pin coupling (16).
If the slot in the black 44-pin coupling (16) is occupied, then the lines of the black 12-pin coupling (22.1) have to be changed over. Care should be taken here to ensure that only one line at any one time is removed from the black 12-pin coupling (22.1) and inserted into the on-board 12-pin coupling.

- Route the previously wrapped blue/red line (bl/rt), brown line (br), black line (sw) and black/white line (sw/ws), as shown, into the driver footwell.
- Fasten blue/red line (bl/rt), brown line (br), black line (sw) and black/white line (sw/ws) using felt tape (23).
- Fasten blue/red line (bl/rt), brown line (br), black line (sw) and black/white line (sw/ws) using cable ties (24) to cable (25) of foot-operated parking brake.
- Install brown line (br) of navigation module wiring harness at ground point (left front footwell) (W15/5).
- Open left front cable duct and route black line (sw) as well as black/white line (sw/ws) into left front cable duct.
- Connect brown 2-pin coupling (3.1) to same-colored telematics CAN voltage distributor electrical connector (X30/35) and close left front cable duct.
- Route blue/red line (bl/rt) along vehicle wiring harness to front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module and fasten in place using cable ties.
- Detach pink 14-pin coupling (19) from front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1).
- Install blue/red line (bl/rt) into contact cavity "5" (arrow D) of pink 14-pin coupling (19).
- Connect pink 14-pin coupling (19) to front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1).
