Retrofit comfort telephony antenna line - AN82.70-P-0008-02CW
The following installation is shown on a vehicle with code (510) Audio 20 with CD changer as an example.
Connection scheme shown on code (510) Audio 20 with CD changer
Routing diagram shown on code (510) Audio 20 with CD changer
- Wrap felt tape (8) around antenna line (1) beginning at foam sheath (7) for a length of approx. 2750 mm.
Operation steps 2 up to 5 only for vehicles with code (580) Automatic air conditioning
- Route black antenna line coupling of antenna line (1) using a pull-through device through the cable duct (arrow A) of the center console (9).
The center console (9) does not need to be removed. It is only shown here in removed state for illustration.
- Route antenna line (1), as shown, to right next to selector lever module and route at height of right rear floor covering (10) between center console (9) and floor panel into right footwell.
- Pull antenna line (1), as shown in picture A, approx. 100 mm towards rear and out of center console (9).
- Fasten antenna line (1) in place to side (arrow B) on center console (9) using felt tape.
Operation steps 6 to 10 only for vehicles with code (581) Comfort automatic air conditioning
- Route antenna line (1), as shown, next to the rear blower motor (M2/1) and fasten in place using cable ties (11) and felt tape (12).
The black antenna line coupling of antenna line (1) must protrude in the rear area (arrow C) of the center console (9) by approx. 100 mm.
If due to the line thickness, routing of the antenna line (1) next to the rear blower motor (M2/1) is not possible, then the felt tape in the area of the rear blower motor (M2/1) has to be removed.
- Route power supply wiring harness (2), as shown, next to the rear blower motor (M2/1) and fasten in place using cable ties (11) and felt tape (12).
The power supply wiring harness (2) must protrude in the rear area (arrow C) of the center console (9) by approx. 100 mm.
- Position center console (9) in vehicle, while doing so route antenna line (1) to right next to the selector lever module and the power supply wiring harness (2) to the left next to the selector lever module.
- Route antenna line (1) level with right rear floor covering (10) between center console (9) and floor panel in the right footwell.
- Route power supply wiring harness (2) along the broken line in the radio slot.
The center console (9) and the power supply wiring harness (2) are installed later on.
- Route antenna line (1) in right footwell below air duct (14) to cable duct (13).
- Route antenna line (1) toward rear through cable duct (13) using pull-through device.
- Open cover (15) of rear cable duct and route antenna line (1) into it.
- Open cover (16) of bracket (17).
- Connect black antenna line plug (5) to black multifunction antenna coupling (6) and clip into bracket (17).
Make sure that the red Global Positioning System coupling (19) is located in the bracket (17).
- Close cover (16) of bracket (17).
- Route antenna line (1) along vehicle wiring harness (18) and fasten in place using cable ties.
- Pull extended length of antenna line (1) forward and out of the cable duct (13).
- Form loops of extended length of antenna line (1) and fasten next to air duct (14).
