REMOVING Removing     
1 Remove radio   AR82.60-P-7502CW
2 Remove instrument cluster cover (13) Model 204.0/2 AR54.30-P-6015CW
Model 204.9 AR54.30-P-6015CY
3 Unclip steering column sleeve (14) from instrument panel (12) at both ends (arrows B) and pull over the steering column tube control unit (N80)    
4 Remove cover (5)    
5 Remove brake pedal cover (6)    
6 Disconnect electrical connector (8) from steering column raise/lower adjustment motor (M20/2) On vehicles with code (275) memory package (driver seat, steering column, mirror)  
7 Remove screw/bolt (7) and remove steering column raise/lower adjustment motor (M20/2) On vehicles with code (275) memory package (driver seat, steering column, mirror)  
INSTALLING Install     
8 Insert air exhaust duct (3) through the opening in the area of the instrument cluster cover (13) and clip into slot of the removed audio component at side    
9 Slide air exhaust duct (4) into air exhaust duct (3)    
10 Position COMAND fan motor (M4/13) onto air conditioner housing (A32)    
11 Tighten bolts (10, 11). IMPORTANT Use a flexible extension that is approx. 25 to 30 cm long and a compact cordless screwdriver to tighten the bolt (10).
Cordless drill/driver
 
12 Connect radio fan electrical connector (X120)    
13 Loosely position air exhaust duct (2) in instrument panel (12)    
14 Mount air intake duct (1) onto COMAND fan motor (M4/13) IMPORTANT Ensure that air intake duct (1) fully engages in COMAND fan motor (M4/13). Otherwise the air intake duct (1) can work its way loose and thus generate noise.  
15 Insert steering column raise/lower adjustment motor (M20/2) and tighten bolts (7) On vehicles with code (275) memory package (driver seat, steering column, mirror)  
16 Connect electrical connector (8) to steering column raise/lower adjustment motor (M20/2) On vehicles with code (275) memory package (driver seat, steering column, mirror)  
17 Insert air exhaust duct (2) into connection (arrow A) of air exhaust duct (3) IMPORTANT Access and visual inspection via the installation opening of the steering column sleeve (14) in the instrument panel (12).  
18 Clip steering column sleeve (14) into instrument panel (12)    
19 Install instrument cluster cover (13) Model 204.0/2 AR54.30-P-6015CW

20 Tighten screw (9)    
21 Install brake pedal cover (6)    
22 Install cover (5)    
23 Install radio   AR82.60-P-7502CW
