1	Move driver seat and front passenger seat towards rear
2	Remove Audio 20 radio or Audio 20 CD radio with CD changer or Audio 50 APS radio or Audio 50 APS radio with DVD changer	The removed audio component is no longer required.	AR82.60-P-7502CW
3	Remove 5-inch Audio/COMAND display (A40/8)	The 5-inch Audio/COMAND display (A40/8) is no longer required.	AR82.60-P-7722CY
4	Remove instrument cluster (A1)	In vehicles without 4.5-inch display in instrument cluster (A1) or with code (523) MB Audio 20 radio or with code (510) Audio 20 with CD changer	AR54.30-P-6015CY
5	Remove airbag unit (1) from steering wheel	In vehicles without 12-button airbag unit (1).	AR91.60-P-0660CW
6	Remove door sill on driver side
7	Remove paneling at bottom of right A-pillar

9	Remove two front screws/bolts at driver seat, loosen two rear screws/bolts at driver seat and remove driver-side floor covering		*BA91.10-P-1002-01Q
10	Remove left cover below dashboard
	Install
11	Retrofit antenna for global positioning system (GPS)	In vehicles with code (523) MB Audio 20 radio or code (510) Audio 20 with CD changer	AN82.61-P-7474-04CY
12	Retrofit wiring harness of COMAND controller unit (A40/3)		AN82.61-P-0001-01CY

22	Close STAR DIAGNOSIS
	Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory		AD00.00-P-2000-04A
23	Perform function test	See COMAND controller unit (A40/3) operating instructions.
