	Remove/install
1	Remove COMAND controller unit (A40/3) with single DVD drive (with navigation)	Installation:  Install new COMAND controller unit (A40/3) with DVD changer.
2	Install in the reverse order
3	Enter special equipment in online vehicle data card via vehicle documentation system (VeDoc)	Delete:  code (527) COMAND APS with single DVD drive (with navigation system) Add:  Code (512) COMAND APS with DVD changer
4	Document retrofitted equipment through VeDoc	Attach "COMAND APS with DVD changer retrofitted, as per AN82.85-P-0004FH " note under the field organization texts to design group 82.
5	Connect Star Diagnosis and select vehicle via the vehicle identification number (VIN)
6	Run variant coding with XENTRY using software calibration number (SCN)	Listed control units must be SCN coded using the Diagnosis Assistance System: "COMAND controller unit (A40/3)"
7	Disconnect Star Diagnosis
8	Perform function test	See operating instructions of COMAND controller unit (A40/3) with DVD changer.
