	Remove/install
	Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	-
	If damage is visible (cracking or deformation) on chassis parts, these parts should be replaced
	Notes on self-locking nuts and bolts		-
1	Extend or pull out adjustable steering column fully	Necessary for separating steering coupling.
2.1	Switch off easy entry/exit function for driver seat and steering wheel	Vehicles with memory package (driver seat, steering column, mirrors) code 275. Otherwise, move driver seat and steering wheel to a different position, e.g. if the driver door is opened/closed. Damage to the upper frame can occur when the holding device is installed. 3	Turn steering wheel to center position (front wheels in straight-ahead position) and secure	The steering wheel must not be turned when the steering coupling is detached, otherwise the clock spring contact will be destroyed.

6	Remove the front wheels
	Remove/install wheels, rotate if necessary		AP40.10-P-4050V
7	Detach torsion bar-link rods (78) from torsion bar (77)		*BA32.20-P-1002-02B
8	Support front axle	Passenger car transmission platform	*WE58.40-Z-1018-11A
		Telescoping / transmission jack	*WE58.40-Z-1030-11A
9	Lower front axle		AR33.10-P-0101V
10.1	Separate level sensor linkage from level sensor to body	On vehicles with bi-xenon headlamp unit code, 614
			*BA82.10-P-1002-01A
11	Unscrew bolts (5) and take out torsion bar (77) to the side		*BA32.20-P-1007-02B
12	Install in the reverse order
13	Perform chassis alignment		AR40.20-P-0200V
