  1. Expose weld on rear center section (1) (area E).
  2. Cut weld on rear center section (1) (area E).
  3. Expose welds on rear center section (1) (areas A, B and C).
  4. Cut out welds on rear center section (1) with SPECIAL TOOL spot weld cutter or COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS Vario Drill spot well cutter (areas A, B and C).

  5. Expose welds on rear center section (1) (area D).
  6. Cut out welds on rear center section (1) with SPECIAL TOOL spot weld cutter (area D).
  7. Remove damaged rear center section (1)

  8. Expose spot welds on rear cross member (2) (areas F, G, H, I, J, K and L).
  9. Cut out spot welds on rear cross member (2) with SPECIAL TOOL spot weld cutter or COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS spherical milling cutter (areas F, G, H, I, J, K and L).

    IMPORTANT Completely cut out spot welds of sheet metal panels connected with one another (area G).

  10. Expose spot welds on rear cross member (2) (areas M and N).
  11. Cut out spot welds on rear cross member (2) with SPECIAL TOOL spot weld cutter or COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS spherical milling cutter (areas M and N).
  12. Remove damaged rear cross member (2)

  13. Sand connection surfaces down to bare metal in the shaded areas.

    IMPORTANT Sand spot weld flanges down to bare metal on both sides.

  14. Remove grinding and drilling chips with wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
  15. Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.
