The following steps apply for the left side of the front upper longitudinal member (1) and should be performed, when damaged, on the right side in the same manner.

1. Position welding device (1) on suspension strut tower and on front reinforcement.
2. Fasten welding device (1) with bolts (1a) and fitted bolt (1b).
3. Insert fitted bolt (1d) through welding device (1) into front reinforcement and fasten with fitted bolt retainers (1e).
4. Fasten fitted bolt (1d) with bolt (1c) to front reinforcement.
5. Fasten cross member extension (2) to welding device (1) with bolts (1f).
6. Fasten cross member extension (2) to front cross member with bolts (1h).

   The following steps apply only when using with longitudinal member extension (3).

7. Fasten longitudinal member extension (3) to welding device (1) with bolt (1g).
8. Insert fitted bolt (1d) through longitudinal member extension (3) into front upper longitudinal member and fasten with fitted bolt retainers (1e)
