Completely remove front cross member - AR62.30-P-1300-09V

WE58.40-Z-1001-03A Drill (electric/pneumatic)
WE58.40-Z-1002-03A Straight grinder (electric/pneumatic)
WE58.40-Z-1003-03A Angle grinder (electric/pneumatic)
WE58.40-Z-1004-03A Body saw (electric/pneumatic)
WE58.40-Z-1005-03A Wet/dry vacuum cleaner
REPAIR MATERIALS

BR00.45-Z-1018-07A Primer spray can with repair kit A 000 986 32 50
BR00.45-Z-1001-07A Zinc dust paint suitable for spot welding A 000 986 34 42
  1. Coarsely cut separation on front cross member (2) with body saw (areas A and B).

    IMPORTANT Do not damage front longitudinal member.

  2. Remove section from front cross member (2)
  3. Expose spot welds on center support (3) (area C).
  4. Cut spot welds out of center support (3) with SPECIAL TOOL spot weld milling cutter (area C).

  5. Expose spot welds on front cross member (2) (areas D, E, F and G).
  6. Drill dia. 6.5 mm spot welds in front cross member (2) (areas D, E, F and G).
  7. Remove section from front cross member (2)

  8. Expose spot welds on front cross member (2.1) (areas H, I, J and K).
  9. Cut spot welds out of front cross member (2.1) with COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS spherical milling cutter (areas H, I, J and K).
  10. Remove remaining piece from front cross member (2.1)
  11. Sand connection surfaces down to bare metal in shaded areas.

    IMPORTANT Sand spot weld flanges down to bare metal on both sides.

  12. Remove grinding and drilling chips with wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
  13. Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.
  14. Apply primer to inside of rivet connections
