Location The left door control unit is located on the door module of the left door behind the door panel.
Task: The left door control unit has the following tasks: Reading in of sensors, pickups and signals, Evaluation of input factors, Actuation of components. Reading in of sensors, pickups and signals: The input factors are read in with the following connections: Direct line, Interior CAN
Interior CAN The signals from the following control points of the upper control panel control unit (N72/1) are read in via interior CAN: - Outside mirror adjustment switch with/without mirror fold-in/out feature (S50/1) Outside mirror adjustment up/down, in/out toggle switch (S50/1s1) - Folding outside mirror in/out switch (S50/1s3) (with code (500) Left/right folding outside mirror) - Left outside mirror adjustment selection switch (S50/1s6) - Right outside mirror adjustment selection switch (S50/1s7).
Evaluation of input factors: The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the affected components are then actuated.
The left door control unit supplies the connected controls with power from circuit 58d.
Interior CAN The following signals are transmitted via interior CAN: - Actuations to adjust passenger side power window motor (PW) - Requests to adjust the right electrically adjustable and heated outside mirror (M21/2) - Status of driver-side power window to convertible top mechanism control unit (N52) to release rear side window adjustment.
Direct line The following switches and sensors are read in directly via a direct line: Left IR receiver unit (A26/1) (with code (880) Closing system with infrared remote control) Hall sensors of left front power window motor (M10/3) Mirror adjustment up/down potentiometer (M21/1r2) (with code (275) Driver seat, steering column and electrically adjustable outside mirror with memory) Mirror adjustment in/out potentiometer (M21/1r3) (with code (275) Driver seat, steering column and electrically adjustable outside mirror with memory) Driver-side power window switch group (S20/1) - Left power window switch (S20/1s1) - Right power window switch (S20/1s2)
