Notes on adjusting window - AH72.10-P-0002-01A
The window guide (1) on vehicles with frameless doors is only performed by the power window.
Adjusting X-axis
- Adjust the window (1) on the clamping jaws (2) using the longitudinal adjustment on the power window. After longitudinal adjustment, influenced by the outer contour of the window (1), it is necessary to adjust its installed height.
Adjusting Y-axis
- The tension and contact pressure of the window (1), on the window seal, can be adjusted with the guide rail inclination adjustment (3) or by moving the wedge shims (4) (on front clamping jaws (2) and rear of window (1)).
- If it is necessary to adjust the inclination of only one of the guide rails (3) it is still necessary to loosen both, otherwise the service life of the power window will be reduced considerably.
- The tension of the window (1) in the upper area can be changed by moving the guide rails (3) at the bottom attachment points.
- Accordingly, move wedge shims (4) to change the tension of the window (1) in the lower area.
Moving the wedge shims (4) upward, displaces the window (1) toward the inside of the vehicle and the tension is increased. Lowering the wedge shims (4) reduces the tension.
- The rear guide rail (3) can also be moved at its upper attachment point. This is required, if the adjustment range of the wedge shims (4) is not sufficient to produce a sufficiently high window tension (1) in the lower area.
Adjust Z-axis
- The installed height of window (1) is adjusted by the height adjuster on the clamping jaws (2) of the power window.
The window (1) is adjusted downward by moving the height adjuster toward right.
- Adjust so that height adjusters simultaneously reach their limit stops, e.g. the window should not tilt when moving upward, otherwise the power window is put under tension and its service life significantly reduced.
