	Remove/install
	Risk of injury caused by moving parts that can pinch, crush or  , in extreme cases even sever  extremities.	No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating range of the mechanism when components are in motion.	AS00.00-Z-0009-01A
	Injury hazard  when performing check and repair work in area of rollover bar	Extend roll bar before working in the roll bar area Keep body parts away from the moving area of the roll bar mechanical system.	AS91.00-Z-0003-01R

1	Remove left side paneling in trunk		AR68.30-P-4800R
2	Mark installation position of hydraulic lines No. 100 and No. 60 in luggage compartment	Mark too the installation position of the hydraulic and electrical lines, which are coupled and fastened to the hydraulic lines No. 100 and No. 60.
3	Expose hydraulic lines No. 100 and No. 60 in luggage compartment up to UVS hydraulic unit	Installation:  Install new tie straps. Pay attention to installation markings.
4	Lower the trunk lid at the rear and secure in trunk lid catch	The trunk lid is in assembly position before it is closed.
5	Switch on ignition, fully open Vario roof using Vario roof switch and raise roll bar using roll bar switch	Make sure that during the Vario roof motion, no electrical or hydraulic lines are pinched and thus damaged. If the trunk partition has been removed, then the trunk partition limit switch must be mechanically or electrically bridged.
6	Switch off the ignition and remove the transmitter key from the EIS control unit	On vehicles with code (889) Keyless Go, press the Keyless Go start/stop button repeatedly until the ignition is switched off. Remove the Keyless Go transmitter card or transmitter key from the vehicle and store beyond the reach of the transmitter (min. 2 m).
7	Remove interior paneling at rollover bar		AR68.30-P-1380R
8	Lower roll-over bar mechanically	Installation:  Raise roll bar using roll bar switch.	AR91.50-P-8400R
9	Remove side rear side paneling		AR68.30-P-4780R
10	Remove paneling on left center pillar		AR68.30-P-1077R
11	Remove retaining plate for power window of left rear side window	Mark installation position of retaining plate and power window retaining screws. Installation:  Observe installation markings.	AR67.39-P-4150-01R
12	Remove left and right seat belt for case and load retention in rear		AR91.40-P-1143R
13	Remove bolts (2)		*BA68.30-P-1004-01A
14	Unclip covers (3) and remove bolts (4)		*BA68.30-P-1004-01A
15	Unlock trunk lid in trunk lid lock, open, and move to assembly position by folding up
16	Move Vario roof manually to load assist position
17	Secure Vario roof in load assist position		AR77.50-P-3000-02R

18	Remove paneling (5)
19	Expose hydraulic lines No. 100 and No. 60 on rear wall up to the luggage compartment	Installation:  Install new tie straps.
20	Remove hydraulic lines No. 100 and No. 60 on the RVC [UVS] hydraulic unit	Do not separate electrical connectors at the RVC hydraulic unit. Refer to: ↓
		Remove/install hydraulic unit	AR77.37-P-3500R
21	Remove right support element (6)	Remove right support element (6) only as far as is necessary to access the hydraulic cylinder roll bar operation (1).	AR91.50-P-0020R
22	Remove hold down clips (7)	Installation:  The arrow on the hold-down clip (7) must face upwards.
23	Remove hydraulic cylinder roll bar operation (1) in direction of arrow from right support element (6)
24	Install in the reverse order
25	Perform function test on roll bar	When doing so, raise and lower roll bar several times using the roll bar switch.
