Activating/accepting call, function - GF82.70-P-2000R
MODEL 230 with CODE (813) Voice control system (VCS)
Activation
When the VCS is switched on by actuating the VCS switch (S93/2), the voice recognition feature for the VCS is activated in the voice control system control unit (A35/11).
System activation is confirmed by an acoustic signal (beep). In addition, the speaker system is activated, and output from the radio (A2) or the COMAND operating, display and control unit (A40/3) is muted in order to ensure that user voice inputs are recognized as accurately as possible.
The system is then in the Input mode. The user can speak voice commands into the hands-free system microphone (B25) to start communication with the VCS in order to control it.
If no voice input is made immediately, the hands-free system microphone (B25) is switched to a more sensitive setting. If there still is no voice input after approx. 15 s, the VCS is deactivated.
Accepting call
An incoming call can be received via the telephone call accept/end button (S111s3) at the multifunction steering wheel.
In this case, similar to the situation at system activation, output from the radio (A2) or the COMAND operating, display and control unit (A40/3) is muted in order to ensure that user voice inputs are recognized as accurately as possible.
The user can then use the hands-free system microphone (B25) for the accepted call.
Voice output by the VCS occurs via the vehicle speaker system.
