Remove/install SAM control unit with rear fuse and relay box - AR54.21-P-1259RBS (Black Series)

	Remove/install
	Information on preventing damage to electronic components due to electrostatic discharge		AH54.00-P-0001-01A
1	Temporarily store basic data of rear SAM control unit (N10/8) in STAR DIAGNOSIS	When replacing rear SAM control unit (N10/8). Installation:  Copy temporarily stored basic data onto new rear SAM control unit (N10/8).
	Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory		AD00.00-P-2000-04A
2	Detach ground line of on-board electrical system battery		AR54.10-P-0003RBS
3	Remove right luggage box in rear and place to one side with attached lines		AR68.30-P-7440RBS
4	Unscrew nuts (1).
5	Raise rear SAM control unit (N10/8) with rear fuse and relay module (K40/5) far enough to release the fuse holder (2) and to be able to take it off
6	Unlock and remove fuse holder (2)	Installation:  The installation position for the fuse holder (2) is marked by a colored and mechanical coding.
7	Release electrical connectors (3) on rear SAM control unit (N10/8) with rear fuse and relay module (K40/5) and remove	Installation:  The installation position for the electrical connectors (3) is marked by a colored and mechanical coding.
8	Release cable strap on clamping lever (4)	Installation:  Secure clamping lever (4) with cable strap.
9	Open clamping lever (4) and pull out electrical line in direction of the arrow
10	Remove rear SAM control unit (N10/8) with rear fuse and relay module (K40/5)
11	Compare population of fuses and relays for new rear fuse and relay module (K40/5) with fuse and relay population for old relay population of old rear fuse and relay module (K40/5), if necessary, adapt population	When replacing the rear fuse and relay module (K40/5).
12	Install in the reverse order
