| Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory | AD00.00-P-2000-04A | ||
| 2 | Disconnect ground line at the on-board electrical system battery | AR54.10-P-0003RBS | |
| 3 | Open lock (1) and remove cover (2) | ||
| 4 | Remove screws (3) and lift off housing top (4) | ||
| 5 | Unlock and remove fuse holder (5) | ||
| 6 | Detach electrical connector (6) from passenger-side fuse and relay module (K40/4) | ||
| 7 | Lift passenger-side SAM control unit (N10/11) with passenger-side fuse and relay module (K40/4) upwards out of guides for fuse and relay box until the electrical connectors (10) are accessible | ||
| 8 | Open cap (7) | ||
| 9 | Release cable strap on clamping lever (8) | ||
| 10 | Open clamping lever (8) and remove electrical line (9) (arrow) | ||
| 11 | Detach electrical connectors (10) on passenger-side SAM control unit (N10/11) with fuse and relay module, passenger-side (K40/4) | ||
| 12 | Remove passenger-side SAM control unit (N10/11) with passenger-side fuse and relay module (K40/4) | ||
| 13 | Compare population of fuses and relays for new passenger-side fuse and relay module (K40/4) with fuse and relay population for old relay population of old passenger-side fuse and relay module (K40/4), if necessary, adapt population | When replacing the passenger-side fuse and relay module (K40/4). | |
