	Remove/install
	Information on preventing damage to electronic components due to electrostatic discharge		AH54.00-P-0001-01A
1	Copy basic data from central gateway control unit (N93) to STAR DIAGNOSIS	When installing new central gateway control unit (N93).
		Install:  Transfer the buffered basic data to the new central gateway control unit (N93).
	Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory		AD00.00-P-2000-04A
		STAR DIAGNOSIS system	*WH58.30-Z-1048-13A
2	Switch off the ignition and remove the transmitter key from the EIS control unit	On vehicles with code (889) Keyless Go, press the Keyless Go start/stop button repeatedly until the ignition is switched off. Remove the Keyless Go transmitter card or transmitter key from the vehicle and store beyond the reach of the transmitter (min. 2 m).
3	Unclip door sill trim (2) using mounting wedge		Figure
4	Loosen edge guard (3) in the area of the right hand trim in the footwell (1)
5	Remove right-hand trim in footwell (1)	The trim in the footwell (1) is secured with a screw.
6	Unscrew nuts (4)
7	Separate electrical connector (5) and remove central gateway control unit (N93)
8	Install in the reverse order
