	Checking
	Risk of fire  and explosion caused by ignition of window washing fluid or antifreeze and their vapors. Risk of poisoning  caused by swallowing window washing fluid or antifreeze or inhaling their vapors. Risk of injury  or physical irritations caused by contact of window washing fluid or antifreeze with eyes, mucous membranes or skin.	Wear protective clothing and tight fitting safety glasses. No fire, open light or ignition sources. Avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes and skin. When working with window washing fluids or antifreeze, do not eat, drink, or smoke. Do not inhale vapors and ensure sufficient ventilation in the working area. Store window washing fluid and antifreeze leakfree in safely closed original containers and out of children's reach only. 	Risk of injury caused by moving parts that can pinch, crush or, in extreme cases even sever extremities.	Always remove ignition key when working on windshield wiper mechanism.	AS82.30-Z-0001-01A
1	Switch on ignition
2	Move windshield washer system switch (S4s4) beyond actuation point and check that spray nozzles of windshield washer system are functioning correctly	If spray nozzles are blocked:↓ Clean spray nozzles from outside using suitable needle and compressed air.
3	Check setting of spray nozzles	If necessary correct setting using adjusting drift.	AP82.35-P-8252-01SX

4	Check setting of wiper arms	The wiper blades must not come into contact with the A-pillar or the cowl, otherwise the body or the wiper mechanism will be damaged. If there are problems: ↓ Check wiper blades and wiper arm for deformation and replace if necessary.
5	Press HCS [SRA] switch (S1s1) and check that spray nozzles of headlamp cleaning system are functioning correctly	Vehicles with code (600) Headlamp cleaning system or xenon headlamps. Clean blocked spray nozzles from outside with suitable needle and compressed air.
6	Check headlamp cleaning system spray nozzle setting	Vehicles with code (600) Headlamp cleaning system or xenon headlamps. The spray jet has to hit the headlamp cover in the area of the lamps; correct setting if necessary.
7	Correct the fluid level in the windshield washer system reservoir		AP82.35-P-8210SX
8	Switch off ignition
