Remove/install the tumble flap and resonance flap switchover valve at the intake manifold - AR09.20-P-1990GZD

ENGINE 272, 273 in MODEL 164, 251

21.8.09 Remove power electronics with power distributor Step 1.2 AR08.10-P-0011GZH
REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off the lifting platform. Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
1.1 Remove air filter housing IMPORTANT Except engine 272.973 in model 164.195 AR09.10-P-1150GZA 
1.2 Remove power electronics with power distributor IMPORTANT Engine 272.973 in model 164.195 AR08.10-P-0011GZH
2 Remove resonance intake manifold (7)   AR09.20-P-1961GZA 
3 Pull pneumatic line (1 or 2) out of switchover valve (Y22/6 or Y22/9) NOTES Never use pointed or sharp tools to remove the pneumatic line (1 or 2), otherwise these may be damaged.
INSPECTInstallation:  Check pneumatic line (1 or 2) for damage and replace if necessary.
 
4 Remove lock washer (3 or 4) INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Replace lock washer (3 or 4).  
5 Disconnect electrical connector (X205) at switchover valve (Y22/6 or Y22/9)    
6 Remove switchover valve (Y22/6 or Y22/9) from resonance intake manifold (7)    
7 Install in the reverse order    
INSPECT Checking     
DANGER Risk of accident  caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury  caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

8 Carry out an engine test run and check intake tract and fuel system for leaks
