Remove/install fuse and relay box in engine compartment, right front - AR54.15-P-1258GZA

MODEL 164 with ENGINE 156, 272, 273, 642, 629

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install    
DANGER Risk of explosion  caused by oxyhydrogen gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns  caused by swallowing battery acid. Risk of injury  caused by burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and safety glasses. Only pour battery acid into suitable and appropriately marked containers. AS54.10-Z-0001-01A 
1 Disconnect battery ground cable   AR54.10-P-0003GZ 
2 Detach lock (1) and remove the cover of the fuse and relay box (2) IMPORTANT Two locks in model 164 with engine 629.  
3 Detach electrical line (positive line) (3) IMPORTANT If necessary, remove the electrical line (positive line) (3) together with the cable passages from the housing and place to one side.  
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA54.15-P-1001-01D 
4 Detach fuse and relay box (4) from housing for fuse and relay box (4) IMPORTANT Detach from fixings (arrows).  
5 Turn over the fuse and relay box (4) and separate the electrical connectors IMPORTANT The number of electrical connectors may vary depending on the vehicle model and equipment.  
6.1 Remove components from fuse and relay box (4) IMPORTANT Only when installing a new fuse and relay box (4).
IMPORTANT Note component set before removal.
IMPORTANTInstallation:  Fit components in the fuse and relay box (4) according to the equipment fitted in the vehicle; see:
 
REFER TO BASIC KNOWLEDGE   Fuse assignment of fuse and relay box in right engine compartment GF54.15-P-1256-02GZ 
7 Install in the reverse order    
8 Perform basic programming   AR00.19-P-0200GZ
