  1. Mark separation point on new spare wheel recess in area P and cut.

    IMPORTANT Dimension X2 = 791 mm.

  2. Grind connection surfaces down to bare metal in shaded areas on both sides.
  3. Remove grinding chips using wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
  4. Punch holes for SHIELDED GAS PLUG WELD in area O in spare wheel recess

    IMPORTANT Use dia. 7 mm hole punching pliers. COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS

  5. Coat insides of spot welding flange (except area O) with zinc dust paint.
  6. Grind connection surfaces down to bare metal in shaded areas of rear inner crossmember section (6) on both sides.
  7. Remove grinding chips using wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
  8. Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.

  9. Mark separation points in area B on new D-ring and cut.

    IMPORTANT Dimension X1 = 195 mm. Use top edges of holes in D-ring as reference points. Adapt to body in addition

  10. Grind connection surfaces down to bare metal in shaded areas B and Q of D-ring section (4) on one side.
  11. Grind connection surfaces in remaining shaded areas on both sides.
  12. Punch holes for SHIELDED GAS PLUG WELD in area EB, in D-ring section.

    IMPORTANT Use dia. 7 mm hole punching pliers. COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS

  13. Remove grinding chips using wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
  14. Coat insides of spot welding flange (except areas B, Q and EB) with zinc dust paint.
  15. Grind connection surfaces down to bare metal in shaded areas GB of lock carrier reinforcement (3) on one side.
  16. Grind connection surfaces in remaining shaded areas on both sides.
  17. Remove grinding chips using wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
  18. Coat insides of spot welding flange (except area GB) with zinc dust paint.

    IMPORTANT Area EB is only accessible for MIG welding during installation

  19. Grind connection surfaces down to bare metal in shaded areas of lock carrier (5) on both sides.
  20. Punch holes for SHIELDED GAS PLUG WELD in area Q, in lock carrier.

    IMPORTANT Use dia. 7 mm hole punching pliers. COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS

  21. Remove grinding chips using wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
  22. Coat insides of spot welding flange (except area Q) with zinc dust paint.

  23. Grind connection surfaces down to bare metal in shaded areas of rear outer crossmember section (2) on both sides.
  24. Remove grinding chips using wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
  25. Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.
