Location

The level adjustment switch with LED is a component of the upper control panel control unit (N72/1).

Task

The vehicle level can be raised with the level adjustment switch.

The vehicle is then raised approx. 80 mm above the highway level.

IMPORTANT In the event of automatic speed-dependent lowering of the vehicle the LED in the level adjustment switch extinguishes.

Function

The signals of the level adjustment switch are read in by the upper control panel control unit and transfers the information over the CAN interior to the central gateway control unit (N93). There the information is transmitted to the AIRmatic control unit via the engine compartment CAN.

Actuation of the LEDs in the level adjustment switch is performed in the reverse direction.

In the locked position (vehicle raised), actuation of the level actuators is suppressed by the AIRmatic control unit (N51).

During the raising process the LED in the level adjustment switch flashes on and off.

A lamp test is run when the ignition is switched off and as long as the engine is not running.

After starting the engine the current driver command is displayed.
