Remove/install radio - AR82.60-P-7502TY

1 Buffer basic data of radio (A2) or radio control panel and navigation unit (A2/56) or COMAND operating, display and controller unit (A40/3) in Star Diagnosis When replacing the radio (A2) or radio control panel and navigation unit (A2/56) or COMAND operating, display and controller unit (A40/3).
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Transfer buffered basic data to new radio (A2) or new radio control panel and navigation unit (A2/56) or new COMAND operating, display and controller unit (A40/3).
 
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory   AD00.00-P-2000-04TX
2 Remove upper control panel control unit carrier   AR54.21-P-1262TY
3 Unscrew bolts (1) as far as to the stop    
4 Pull radio (A2) or radio control panel and navigation unit (A2/56) or COMAND operating, display and controller unit (A40/3) out of the center console until the electrical connectors (2, 3, 4, 5) on the rear are accessible    
5 Disconnect electrical connectors (2, 3, 4, 5) on rear of radio (A2) or radio control panel and navigation unit (A2/56) or COMAND operating, display and controller unit (A40/3) IMPORTANT The electrical connectors (2, 3, 4, 5) may vary depending on the equipment installed. Depending on equipment installed, electrical connectors with fiber optic cable may also be installed.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Make sure that the electrical connectors (2, 3, 4, 5) in the radio (A2) or radio control panel and navigation unit (A2/56) or COMAND operating, display and controller unit (A40/3) are correctly locked.

6 Install in the reverse order
